Animation: Frontplate & more

Dear Maverick Render users,

As we continue working on the animation side of Maverick, we have decided to release 2024.2; a new version that completes a little bit and improves upon the version we released recently.

Improvements

Please take a look at the changelog for a more verbose description.

In addition to introducing the new Frontplate Motion Controller (details in a video-tutorial below), we've enhanced the spinbar context menu and the Animation panel to improve keyframe management. We've also addressed some loose ends in the rendering core from 2024.1. Notably, UV map modifiers, stickers, and other features now properly inherit motion blur from their assigned objects.

New video-tutorials

As we promised, here you have three more video-tutorials that cover more animation-related subjects comprising versions 2024.1 and 2024.2.

Fuji Camera Lens

The first one is about the creation of attractive fast-paced motion to showcase a product in the fashion of a modern social media or TV ad.

Frontplate

The second one covers the main highlight of 2024.2: the Frontplate Motion Controller. This powerful feature enables you to overlay fades, branding elements, or watermarks directly onto your renders or videos. The impact is more significant than it might initially appear, as it introduces basic video-editing capabilities within Maverick itself. This means you can create polished, final outputs without the need for external video-editing software—streamlining your workflow and saving valuable time.

Ghostbusters Proton Blaster

Lastly, here's another video demonstrating how to create captivating rhythmic cyclic motion to bring your subject to life.

Black Friday 2024 promotion

Don't forget—our Black Friday promotion is still ongoing and runs until December 15th. It's the perfect time to jump in!

All being well, there will be more videos and news coming soon.

As always, thanks for watching!
